About

Elaine Sedelnikova is a certified Jungian analyst and Licensed Psychoanalyst (LP) practicing in New York's West Village. She integrates Jungian analysis with psychodynamic, relational, and attachment-based modalities, as well as trauma and neuropsychology research, to work with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, mood disorders, life transitions, and the deeper questions of meaning and identity. Her work is grounded in careful attention to dreams, symbols, archetypes, and unconscious patterns — the inner architecture that quietly shapes choices, relationships, and suffering.

Elaine holds credentials as a Nationally Certified Psychoanalyst (NCPsyA) and State Certified Psychoanalyst in New Jersey (SCPsyA). She is a member of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP) and the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis (NAAP), serves as Ethics Chair at NYAAP, is a CAPA supervisor, and is on faculty at Blanton-Peale.

Beyond her clinical practice, Elaine is the founder and curator of SlavicStudies.com, a project born from her deep engagement with Slavic literature, folklore, and myth. This scholarly interest continually informs her therapeutic work, illuminating how collective narratives shape personal identity, grief, and meaning-making. She is also developing a YouTube channel dedicated to depth psychology, extending her commitment to making analytic ideas accessible to a wider audience.
