Doris Lier, lic. phil., is a federally recognized psychotherapist and Jungian analyst based in Zurich, Switzerland. She studied history and philosophy at the University of Zurich and has held a diploma in analytical psychology from the C.G. Jung Institute Zurich since 1988. She serves as the Leading Psychologist (Leitende Psychologin) at the C.G. Jung Ambulatorium in Zurich, a clinical facility providing analytically oriented psychotherapy. In addition to her clinical role, Lier is a teaching analyst, supervisor, and lecturer at the C.G. Jung Institute and a member of the institute's board. She is also an analytical psychologist and member of the seminar leadership at ISAP Zurich (Internationales Seminar fur Analytische Psychologie). Her private practice, established in 1988, offers psychotherapies, psychoanalyses, situational assessments, trauma analyses, and supervisions. Lier has contributed to the scholarly literature on the history of psychoanalysis in Zurich, co-authoring the book Stadt der Seelenkunde, which traces the institutional evolution of analytical psychology in the city. She practices in both German and English.
