About
Craig E. Stephenson is a Canadian-born certified Jungian analyst and licensed psychoanalyst who has practised and lectured internationally as a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist. He earned his professional diploma in Analytical Psychology from the C. G. Jung Institute in Zürich, Switzerland, and his doctorate from the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies at the University of Essex. He also completed a training in Group Psychotherapy, Sociometry and Psychodrama at the Institute for Psychodrama in Zümikon, Switzerland.
Stephenson worked in private practice in Paris, France for twelve years before settling in Lisbon, Portugal, where he currently practises. He served on the executive committee of AGAP (Association of Graduate Analytical Psychologists), on the board of directors of the Philemon Foundation, and as Director of Training of the Jungian Psychoanalytic Association of New York (JPA).
As an academic scholar with a deep interest in the history of psychological disciplines, Stephenson has published books and articles, and edited original unpublished work by C. G. Jung for Princeton University Press. He is the author of 'Possession: Jung's Comparative Anatomy of the Psyche' (Routledge). He is licensed as a Licensed Psychoanalyst (LP) and certified Jungian analyst in New York State, and is also qualified to work in Canada as a Registered Psychotherapist under the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
