About
Claire Mouchot is a Jungian psychoanalyst trained at the Guild of Analytical Psychologists in London, holding membership in both the G.A.P. and the International Association for Analytical Psychology. She is a full clinical member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and adheres to the ethical codes of both IAAP and G.A.P.
Mouchot's analytic training followed the classical model: intensive personal psychoanalysis, didactic psychoanalysis, four years of theoretical study, a six-month psychiatric observation placement, and approximately one thousand hours of supervised clinical practice. Beyond her formal training, she has pursued extensive personal exploration through vipassana meditation in the tradition of S.N. Goenka, shamanic healing techniques, Tantra energy work, Qi-Gong, and over twenty years of 5Rhythms movement meditation — practices that inform her understanding of embodied and transpersonal dimensions of the psyche.
After twenty-five years of practice in the United Kingdom, Mouchot recently relocated to France, where she continues to offer Jungian psychotherapy and psychoanalysis in both French and English. Her clinical work addresses panic and overwhelm, life transitions, low self-esteem, depression, chronic stress, grief and bereavement, relationship difficulties, eating disorders, and existential questions of meaning and direction. She emphasizes the creation of an empathic, safe therapeutic space tailored to each individual's unique journey toward wholeness.
