One of the most prominent Francophone Jungian analysts. Doctor of Psychology (Sorbonne and EPHE). Training analyst (didacticien) and former president of the Societe Francaise de Psychologie Analytique (SFPA), elected 1994 and re-elected 1996. First French president-elect of the IAAP in 1998; served as IAAP president from 2004 to 2007. Long tenure teaching psychoanalysis of art at the Ecole nationale superieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris (ENSBA), where he directed the Psychanalyse de l'art program until 2007. His 'Que sais-je?' volume 'Jung' (Presses Universitaires de France, first published 1998, updated October 2024) remains the standard French introduction to Jung.
