Charlotte Blofeld

Charlotte Blofeld is an Analytical Psychologist and Jungian Analyst practicing in the Shepherd's Bush area of west London. She trained as an analyst with the Guild of Analytical Psychologists, an IAAP-accredited training body, after spending fifteen years making radio and television programmes for the BBC, where her work focused largely on social issues. During those years of broadcasting, she undertook extended personal Jungian analysis, an experience that ultimately led her to retrain as an analyst.

Blofeld has been deeply involved in the institutional life of the Jungian community in London. For over ten years she has participated in the training processes at the Independent Group of Analytical Psychologists, including serving as Convenor, and she regularly teaches on IGAP and other Jungian organisations' training programmes. She is a member of the London Umbrella Group, which brings together analysts from the various Jungian training societies in the capital, and she is registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and the Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis College.

Her background in documentary broadcasting and social issues lends a distinctive quality to her clinical sensibility, combining narrative attentiveness with depth psychological understanding. She practices from her consulting room in W12, working with adults seeking ongoing analytical work.
