Cécile Buckenmeyer

Cécile Buckenmeyer is a Jungian analyst and psychotherapist in private practice in Lancaster, England, trained at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich, where she is an accredited training analyst. She holds membership in the International Association for Analytical Psychology, is a senior member of the Independent Group of Analytical Psychologists, and is a full clinical member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.

Buckenmeyer's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Psychodynamics of Human Development, jointly offered by Birkbeck College, University of London, and the British Association of Psychotherapists, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching Psychology. This combination of depth-psychological training and developmental understanding informs her work with clients navigating bereavement, illness, destructive relationships, work-related stress, and major life transitions, as well as those drawn to engage with spiritual and existential dimensions of experience.

She emphasizes that therapy is a mutual process — a collaborative endeavor in which therapist and client work together toward understanding and transformation. Buckenmeyer offers sessions both in person at her Lancaster practice, located on Castle Hill a few minutes' walk from the train station, and remotely via Zoom. She is trilingual, practicing in French, English, and Japanese. She also collaborates with fellow Jungian analyst Jakob Lusensky on a dream podcast, creating a collective space for the exploration of dreams. Her practice is currently full and she is not accepting new clients.
