About
Antonella Adorisio is a training Jungian analyst, supervisor, psychotherapist, and international teacher of Authentic Movement based in Rome. She is registered with the Order of Psychologists and Psychotherapists of Lazio (n. 3642) and has been a member of the Centro Italiano di Psicologia Analitica (CIPA) since 2006. Her clinical and scholarly work is distinguished by a sustained commitment to the body-psyche relationship, drawing on Jungian active imagination, Authentic Movement, and contemplative practice to facilitate what she describes as holistic Jungian psychotherapy.
Within CIPA, Adorisio has held numerous leadership positions: Scientific Commission member (2009-2013), Scientific Secretary and Director of the Psychotherapy School (2014-2017), member of the National Executive Committee (2014-2017), and President of the XVII National CIPA Conference in 2016. She also served on the Editorial Board of Quaderni di Cultura Junghiana. Internationally, she co-leads the IAAP Pre-Congress workshops on Movement as Active Imagination alongside Joan Chodorow, Margarita Mendez, and Tina Stromsted. She studied Authentic Movement with Janet Adler and Joan Chodorow. Her publications include work on active imagination, the feminine, and body-soul integration, including "Bellezza Orsini and Creativity" (Spring Journal, 2005) and contributions to multiple IAAP Congress proceedings. She also produced the documentary film Mysterium: A Poetic Prayer, presented at the XVIII IAAP Congress in 2010. She offers consultations in Italian and English, both in person and online.
