About
Andrew Fellows is a British-born Jungian analyst, deep ecologist, and award-winning author based in rural Switzerland, with private practices in Bern and Zurich. He holds a doctorate in applied physics from Durham University and spent two decades in international work on renewable energy, sustainable development, and environmental policy before relocating to Switzerland in 2001 to train in analytical psychology. He completed eight years of full-time training at the C.G. Jung Institute in Kusnacht and ISAPZURICH, qualifying as an analyst in 2009.
Fellows serves as Program Director and Training Analyst at ISAPZURICH and is a member of the Association of Graduates in Analytical Psychology (AGAP), the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP), the Galileo Commission, the Psychologischer Club Zurich, the Scientific and Medical Network, and the Society for Mind-Matter Research. He lectured at the IAAP's 20th triennial International Congress in Kyoto (2016) and again at the 21st in Vienna (2019), and teaches regularly at ISAPZURICH on Jungian perspectives of contemporary culture.
His book Gaia, Psyche and Deep Ecology: Navigating Climate Change in the Anthropocene (Routledge, 2019) was joint winner of the Scientific and Medical Network Book Prize. His special interests include the anima mundi, the mid-life transition, the new sciences, nonlocal mind, and the application of depth psychology to global environmental problems. He offers sessions in English, German, and occasional French, and is available in person or remotely via FaceTime or Signal. He lives at over three thousand feet above sea level in the Swiss countryside without a car, married to a Japanese Jungian analyst with whom he shares a practice.
