About
Aida Finkelstein is a clinical psychologist, Jungian analyst, and interdisciplinary researcher based in Brasília, Brazil. Born in 1953 in Abaeté, Minas Gerais, she holds a Master's degree in Arts and a Doctorate in Multimedia from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). She completed her Jungian analyst training through IPAC (Instituto de Psicologia Analítica de Campinas), affiliated with the Associação Junguiana do Brasil and the International Association for Analytical Psychology.
Finkelstein is a founding member and former president of the Instituto Junguiano de Brasília (IJBsb), one of the regional Jungian institutes in Brazil. She serves as a didactic analyst of the AJB and is a member of the IAAP's spirituality study department. Her clinical and scholarly work is distinguished by the development of the 'Corpo Inteiro — Uma Conquista' methodology, an integrative approach she has practiced for over forty years that proposes a reconnection of body and psyche using dreams as the primary material for bridging somatic and psychological experience.
Her work reflects a sustained commitment to the embodied dimensions of analytical psychology, placing particular emphasis on the relationship between corporeal experience and the life of the soul. As a co-founder of the Brasília Jungian institute alongside Aurea Roitman and Nice Luconi, Finkelstein has played a formative role in establishing the institutional infrastructure for Jungian training and practice in Brazil's capital region.
