About
Aditee Ghate is a Jungian analyst in private practice in Singapore, where she founded Jaagran in 2005 — a psychotherapy practice whose name, drawn from Hindi, means 'awakening' or 'the act of becoming conscious.' She is an Analytical Psychologist trained with the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP) in Zurich and belongs to the Australian and New Zealand Society of Jungian Analysts (ANZSJA).
Ghate holds a Master's in Counselling and a Psychology Honours degree, and has been in clinical practice for over two decades. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in depth psychology, attending to the patterns that surface in the consulting room, the complexes that impede potential and affect relationships, and the influence of individual history on present-day experience. She works extensively with dreams and the unconscious, and is also a trained facilitator of sensitivity groups. Her areas of specialization include stress and anxiety, self-esteem, depression, identity, co-dependency, personal boundaries, conscious living, women's issues, gender, attachment and parent-child bonding, and highly sensitive persons (HSP).
Ghate is also a published scholar in the Journal of Analytical Psychology. Her 2019 paper 'Challenges to the Father-Daughter Dynamic under the Patriarchal Shadow' examines filial dynamics through a Jungian lens, and her 2018 article 'Traumatic Dissociation of Aspects of the Feminine: An Asian Cultural Perspective' brings an important cross-cultural dimension to the literature on feminine psychology and trauma. These publications establish her as a significant voice bridging Eastern cultural experience with Jungian theory.
